The real hassle for me always with dead cars is discovering that the title has disappeared somewhere, and trying to get a replacement title has always been an exercise in Kafkaesque frustration for me. If she's got her title, it's a breeze getting rid of the car; I had a very easy, low-stress experience with this car donation for charities outfit -- they were efficient and friendly.
And I have totally lucked out with the weather here for the next few days; I was terrified I'd be trying to pack and load in the usual August steambath, but it's cooled down and should stay that way until after I leave, hurrah!
