It doesn't have to be a Mini per se (though they *are* cute) but you should definitely live a little, automotively speaking, at least once in your life, ya know?
And... it's kind of a myth these days, that little car=less safe. In a lot of cases, it's those big guzzly SUV's that do *poorly* in safety tests, while Civics and the like do very, very well.
