Oh, how I understand this. I mean, 98% of the current fandom favorites are shows that didn't click for me, and every post I see in support of the shows drive me further and further away from ever giving them a second chance.
Now, for me...with House, it's about the character - and not even really the character in relation to anyone else on the show. It's like...hmm...there are many "Good Guy" characters that I adore (Benton Fraser, for example), but every so often, there are nasty pieces of work with vulnerabilities (like, Snape, for example) who touch me in some way. House is one of those.
