I envy your good storm-watching porch; I have roughly a two-foot-wide strip of deck with a somewhat leaky overhang, where I can lurk dampishly and smoke and watch the weather. Which is better than nothing, of course.
And there really is nothing better than a great whacking thunderstorm; they're *orgasmic*, really (and now I'm relaxing in the afterglow... *g*)
