No, I'm not migrating to LJ. But several people have told me lately that they have trouble accessing my blog on the mrks.org server, so at least for the time being I'm using LJ as a kind of mirror, and entries I post on my blog will be copied here. Because god forbid anyone should miss a word of my golden prose or Deep Thoughts.

I'm not migrating completely for several reasons, most of them having to do with the fact that I'm a control freak--I like having my blog run off my server and I like being able to configure the thing however I want. But I recognize there are some cool features to LJ, especially the e-mail notification of comments (when that's working, which apparently it hasn't been lately). I've updated my Friends list to include (I think) everyone I have linked off my blog, despite my deep ambivalence about the potential for interpersonal weirdness that seems inherent in the whole "Friends" terminology. Anyway. Here I am.

Pish, you're just doing what anyone would do if their icon was as bitchin' as yours: showing it off a bit.

This, from the Mistress of Bitchin' Icons, is praise indeed! Thanks, Nia!

Interpersonal weirdness seems to sum it up pretty well. In some cases, the "friends" list should probably be called the "paranoia" list. *g*

*chuckle* I can think of a number of other names for it, as well. *g*

Yup. Yup, yup, yup. I recommend doing as I do and maintaining an intentional obliviousness about any and all "friends" list tensions. *g*

And, hey, I've said it before, I think, but it bears repeating: you are some seriously hot shit in that icon, baby! *G*

I can read your blog at mrks, but apparently can't comment to it. So I'm commenting here to say that you're welcome to crash on my doorstep anytime. If you show up in winter, you'll want either 4WD or good boots. And you'll have to bring your own smokes (I rarely keep them on hand), but we've got plenty of blankets and scotch and tea.

:-)
