katallisonSo, I'm just about ready to leave for Connexions. Well, I haven't actually packed yet, but for a weekend trip that'll take me all of about five minutes. A couple of t-shirts, a couple of sweaters, jeans, socks, underwear, and the toiletries kit that's always ready. I travel light, which is a good plan as one gets older and creakier. The biggest hassle of preparing for trips is always getting the house cleaned up; since my landlords come down to feed the cat, I put some effort into creating a facade of non-slobbishness.
I am happily anticipating seeing old friends and meeting some new people (new, at least, in the in-person sense). I am *very* happily anticipating getting the hell away from both my life and Current Events, for a few days at least.
<checking bus schedule> OK, I'll need to get up in time to catch the 5:20 bus to the airport. No problemo, as long as we don't get so much sleet tonight that the sidewalks become hazardous.
Back Sunday night. Hope everyone has as good a weekend as I intend to have!
