Ahhhhhhhhh.
Mar. 24th, 2004 06:03 pmSomeone at work today said, "The last time it went above 60 degrees was--" And then specified some number of days, which I made a mental note to remember, and then instantly forgot.
This afternoon, when I got home, I pulled my light jacket out of the closet --the first time I'd had it out in months--and found in the pocket a crumpled grocery receipt dated Oct. 22, 2003. Which answers the question of how many days it's been. Or in more general terms, almost exactly five months. Sixty-five degrees today, I'm enjoying every one of them, and by god we've earned them over the last one hundred and fifty days.
