good/bad/ugly

Good: The entirety of my trip to Seattle. Especially getting to spend time with wonderful friends (waving to Anna, Sandy, Gwyn, Rache, Jo, Nicole), and also riding ferries, and eating fresh apricots and crab and drinking lots of wine, and watching the sun set over Puget Sound, and driving through the Cascades, and ... pretty much everything, yeah.

Bad: Coming back.

Ugly: My job this week. (And probably next week as well.) Family hassles so aggravating I shall not even go into them. Having to simultaneously move my entire office at work and also do a high-speed uber-cleanup at home because my landlords have people coming in tomrrow to work on the windows and didn't tell me until yesterday.

I shall blow this popstand and live in Seattle someday, of this I am certain. What I'm not clear on is how I'm going to disentangle the various snarls of commitment and responsibility that are currently holding me here, but I've scheduled myself two years to work that through, and then ... whoooooosh.

Meanwhile, I have a headache. And my office is in mid-packing-up so that it looks like a bomb went off in here. And I cannot go and get lunch because I'm waiting for three people to return urgent phone calls, except they are not doing so, which may force me to track them down and strangle them. And we have a new person starting at the end of the month, and no office--I mean no office--to put her in.

Hell, she can have mine. I'll be on the Greyhound, heading westward. I figure I can always get a job in a Starbucks, eh?
