Best part of my job? When I talk with a frantic student who's getting jacked around by the system and is in a terrible bind, and--by dint of a few crisp phone calls to higher-ups and judicious waving-around of my title--I get someone to actually look into the case and discover that whoopsie, some key data was miscoded by a clerk somewhere, and we'll get that fixed right away, yes ma'am, and I then get to call the student back and say "All shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."

Yup. Being the designated Handler of Redballs is often a bitch, but it sure has its moments.
