So, the vacation begins. Five weeks without having to go in to the job. And just like last year, I am flagrantly grandiose in my dreams of what I can accomplish during this time.

The current to-do list includes:

1. Clean out the basement. (This has been on my to-do list every summer since the late 90s, and one of these years I fully expect to get around to it.)

2. Get the dead car hauled out of my garage. (The dead car has been there since...1998, maybe? Whenever it was that [livejournal.com profile] eliade moved to Seattle, because on her stopover here we drove to the video store to rent "The Sum of Us" and that was the last trip that car ever made.)

3. Get the new website finished, up, and running, which includes figuring out the code for the photolog.

4. Do a great deal of photography.

5. Get to the gym every day.

6. Quit smoking.

7. Reorganize all storage space in the house.

8. Finish the dS novel-in-progress. (Ah HAH hah hah hah hah....)

9. Finish at least one of the two Methos stories that have been in progress for at least the last four years (you're *killin'* me here...oh, my *sides*...)

Five weeks. Yes, right, OK. I guess I'd better get started then, eh.

Long Hot? Summer....

Summertime and the living is easy...YAY! Enjoy your summer and if your faithful readers get to vote on the list, can I vote for #9????? But do get to the gym and quit smoking; you are very dear to all of us and anything that you can do to improve your health gets my vote. About the cleaning out and the reogranization - how about doing one section per day? Don't make a huge all day or all month project; just one section at a time. My brother, sister and I just came back from a week at my mother's house and we had to clean out boxes of "stuff", old newspapers, old clothes, old food that had obviously decayed, etc. I think that Americans are the pac-rat Queens of the World! I came home and had a frenzied house cleaning and it's a great feeling. I organized, threw away, labled files, bought a 4 drawer file cabinet and if a file didn't fit into it, it got thrown away. I now have labeled folders for all my art files (sorted by artist), files for collage and bookmaking material, files for money stuff...I am now in charge of my domain! Well, at least for the next couple of days.

Anyway, relax, enjoy, do what you can and I will send good weather vibes from SF!
