A prediction...
Oct. 25th, 2003 08:49 amCross the gypsy's palm with silver. I was noodling around on Google just now, riffing off something in an entry of
flambeau, and I realized:
Whenever "Troy" is released, we will see a tsunami o' slash that will make LotR and PotC look like puddle-waves in comparison. Oh my god, yes. I mean, not that I know who's playing what roles, but we got Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt, Sean Bean, Eric Bana, and various other pretty men I wot not of, all bare-thighed and warrior-like; we got the Achilles/Patroclus thing, which is pretty much Iliad-canon; we got--oh, hell, it's ancient Greeks, y'know what I'm saying?
Various images can be found here, here, here, and here, for starters.
Me, I'm much more excited that Peter O'Toole is in the cast, and also Julie Christie, because they have the Hottitude That Is Ageless. But man. I'm feeling, like, Brace yourself, internet! Slashers, start your engines!
