LFN Season-One-Watching follow-up

At its best, and for all that it went seriously off the rails in later seasons, LFN is absolutely distinctive in the mostly-pablumish world of mainstream TV for its adherence to a particularly relentless and nihilistic worldview. In which:

Connection = Doom
Mercy = Cruelty
Love = Death

It is, truly, the universe within which No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.

I wish I had the stuff to write really authentic LFN fanfiction. (I was, for a while, cogitating a story in which Methos ends up in Section One, but it never quite jelled.) Failing which, I salute with respect the show's ability bring the pain, to play out the inexorable arithmetic of its premises to their logical conclusions.

(On further reflection ... the story in which Fraser, somehow, ends up in Section One? That would be *really* interesting. Hmmmm.....)

The only LFN I've seen are the CKR episodes, but even then the bleakness struck me. And, if you were so inclined, I'd be eager to read a Methos-centric crossover. Of course, this might be because I'd read Methos anywhere . . .
