Oh, I like her list. "Mortal City" is one of my favorite albums ever, and I'm a big fan of all of Peter Gabriel's stuff. I'd also suggest, say...Mary Chapin Carpenter's "A Place in the World" (countryish), Cassandra Wilson's "New Moon Daughter" (jazzish), and maybe some David Gray (folky techish).
