I embrace you, my sister in music-listening-frustration! And like you, I have a very hard time listening to music while doing anything else brain-requiring (unless it's something I'm already deeply familiar with, which is a short list indeed). I've almost been thinking I should take up knitting or sewing or something, so that I have some chunk of time when I could focus on listening but still feel like I'm being minimally productive. *g*

Thanks very much for the list, which I shall explore (though actually Stop Making Sense is one of the very few CDs I *do* have, and I love it--haven't seen the film, though, and shall Netflix it forthwith!).
