Winter is Fun!

So, the very best part of winter isn't the shoveling tons of snow ... or the going out in -30 windchill ... or the fact that it NEVER ENDS ...
No, the bestest part of all is falling on the GODDAMNED ice and breaking one's GODDAMNED wrist.
(Right wrist, of COURSE, being as how I'm right-handed.)
May I just say FUCK. Also, dear GOD the ER is a tedious place to spend three hours.
Upside? Scrip for Vicodin, dudes! You suppose I could trade half of it to Greg House in exchange for some dirty, dirty, carnal roistering? (*g*)
Ow. Pilling up and heading to bed now, and apologies in advace if I don't get replies to any comments out (and don't feel obligedto comment!) -- typing is a bit cumbersome.
DAMN YOU WINTER.
(Oh and C.--do NOT feel bad, this could've happened anywhere. *hugs*)
ETA: Ah hahahahahahaha!! I forgot to specify non-childproof cap on the g.d. Vicodin! Just TRY opening a childproof cap w/a broken wrist!

Date: 2007-03-09 02:20 am (UTC)I think you had the right idea getting the heck out of the north and back to a warm climate (although I'm sure I won't feel that way in July).
Thank you for the kind words!

Date: 2007-03-07 12:14 pm (UTC)Um, ouch. I hope the Vicodin takes the ouch off for you and makes this whole experience marginally less unpleasant.
*signs your cast, virtually speaking*

I am so sorry about my evil front sidewalk. I put salt on it, then it melts and refreezes smooth in the evening. Argh!

I suggest drugs, fic, and plenty of dirty carnal roistering. Oh yes.
And chocolate.

Date: 2007-03-07 05:40 pm (UTC)Throughout the entire four months I spent in Syracuse, NY, I feared slipping on the ice and breaking bones. I *lived in mortal terror*, I mean to tell ya. It's scary.
I would just leave the cap off the bottle, myself...
