Winter is Fun!

So, the very best part of winter isn't the shoveling tons of snow ... or the going out in -30 windchill ... or the fact that it NEVER ENDS ...

No, the bestest part of all is falling on the GODDAMNED ice and breaking one's GODDAMNED wrist.

(Right wrist, of COURSE, being as how I'm right-handed.)

May I just say FUCK. Also, dear GOD the ER is a tedious place to spend three hours.

Upside? Scrip for Vicodin, dudes! You suppose I could trade half of it to Greg House in exchange for some dirty, dirty, carnal roistering? (*g*)

Ow. Pilling up and heading to bed now, and apologies in advace if I don't get replies to any comments out (and don't feel obligedto comment!) -- typing is a bit cumbersome.

DAMN YOU WINTER.

(Oh and C.--do NOT feel bad, this could've happened anywhere. *hugs*)

ETA: Ah hahahahahahaha!! I forgot to specify non-childproof cap on the g.d. Vicodin! Just TRY opening a childproof cap w/a broken wrist!

Aiiieeee!!! I'm so sorry. (And believe me, you have my utmost empathy -- a few years ago I did the same thing, left wrist, and right before I had a big job interview.)

The ER is truly a tedious place, especially when you're not totally drugged up. I can't believe they didn't give you nonchildproof caps!! It's totally the torque that kills you on the broken wrists -- you can often hold things and such, but you can't twist or pull on anything. Dumbasses! They shouldn't make the goodies so hard to get to.

I hope you recover quickly and no more slippage!!

Thanks so much for the kind words! The ER was just -- oh god. They had *nothing* to read, and a TV blatting away with Suze Orman exhorting the masses about MONEY, interspersed with the public radio membership drive, and it was like time STOPPED.

I did finally manage to get the pills open, so yesterday was a happy druggy haze, and today I had a nice sleek little black cast put on. (*sigh*)

Thanks again! And I'm so sorry I didn't get to see you at Escapade -- but we'll look toward Vividcon!
