Oh my god.

Earlier today I posted something that, in passing, referenced the washing of cats in bathtubs. Only a few hours later, as if by some cosmic convergence, I found a link to --

--the most amazing compendium of wet cat pictures EVER. I am simultaneously laughing and weeping at these, many of which MUST be made into icons.

(So wet! So miserable! So FEELING THE HATE!)

------------

And speaking of feeling the hate, I am sort of trying to cling to the possibility that the whole Amazon situation results from a massive, ghastly, inadvertent fuckup of epic proportions, rather than a deliberate policy decision of some sort. Because I have a hard time believing that Amazon could do something so COSMICALLY EVIL AND STUPID on purpose.

*sigh*

Oh my god, some of those cats look like aliens! The one hanging onto the faucet for dear life! The black cat that looks like a giant spider!

Eep! Cats should never, ever get wet.

The Amazon thing is so bizarre that, after thinking about it, I began to wonder if it might not be some sort of trolling activity, with a group of people going through Amazon specifically flagging certain books in order to start a furor, which seems to have worked better than they could possibly have hoped for.

I can't believe how many people seem to wash their cats without any kind of protective gear. And am boggled that they bathe them in the first place. I guess there could be situations in which a cat could have gotten into something really smelly and disgusting, but these have to be rare.

Note to self: do not look at humorous photos of wet cats while husband is on business phone call. You will completely ruin all semblance of "business call".
