Yup. Though I tell myself, this is just the first stage of the essential hardening-off process, so that when it *is* ten below I won't just shrivel up and die. What's especially masochistic is to head out the door on a 30-degree morning, shivering and whining, and then to think, "Oh, but wait until the morning it's fifty degrees colder than this." Which, of course, it shall almost certainly be sometime before next spring.

You got me, sweetie. Since the only other place on earth I'd seriously consider living right now is in the hills between Florence and Arezzo, the questions leaves me balking.
I just don't do sub-zero or sub-Saharan heat very well.
