In the middle of watching the updates on Rita, with fear and trepidation, I noticed it had gotten awfully dark out, and then all of a sudden the sirens went off, and yowza, tornadoes bearing down on the Twin Cities, along with the 75 mph straight-line winds and the big-ass hail.

Insert here obligatory philosophical reflection on how there is really no safe place anywhere. Me, I'm shutting down and going to watch the sky.

My folks live up in Andover. I called just as it was getting nasty in Minneapolis and my dad said he'd just watched his boat get picked up and slammed into the shed, totalling both. However, he added that since he hated both, he was rubbing his hands over the soon to be issued insurance money. *snerk* Meanwhile, I lost cable and can't seem to get a real person at TW.
