Spleen-venting, in the five minutes before staff meeting....

Thing that annoys me: When I yield to a student's pleas to meet with him on this, my last day before vacation, and set an extra-early appointment time for him, and have to get up extra-extra early because I also have to bake two quiches to bring to the staff potluck, and so before dawn I arise and race around all morning, chopping and baking and finally hauling ass + quiches in to the office, inadequately caffeinated and with messy hair and sweating --

--and the goddamned student doesn't show for the appointment.. GRRRRrrrrrr.

Plus, I can't remember if I turned the stove off before I left home. I kind of think I didn't. Oh hell and damnation.

It's a very quiche-y day. I picked up oodles of spinach at the store yesterday with plans of making one today.

Anyway: stupid, stupid student. I hope that your staff meeting went/is going well, that the stove is off, and that the trials of this morning give way to a splendid start to vacation.
