In Which Kat Grouses Pointlessly
Jul. 21st, 2004 05:02 pmOh, the Weather Gods, they are evil, *evil,* malevolent filthy bastards with a twisted sense of humor.
So it's been classic late July weather here the past few days, which is to say steamy and suffocating. Yet have I borne it bravely, for lo! Tomorrow I take off for Seattle! Where surely it shall be cool and refreshing! And I shall laugh, HA HA, at the poor bastards sweltering back here on the prairie, while I dally in the coolness!
Um. Except for the part where the day after I leave, it's going to go down into the 70s here. And also and even more notably, the part where it's going to be in the 90s this weekend in Seattle.
Blast and damnation. Anyway, I'll be back on Tuesday.

Date: 2004-07-21 03:36 pm (UTC)And, um, let me e-mail you with a number where you can reach me in town; I've been utterly remiss with trying to arrange meetups with folks this weekend, and am doing the 11th-hour catch-up. *g*

Date: 2004-07-21 05:21 pm (UTC)Seattle is Good but SF Is Better (weather wise).
Date: 2004-07-21 05:33 pm (UTC)Of course, if you don't come, then the Weather Gods will smite Seattle with a heat wave. And if you come here, we will have the hottest weather on record.
Because the Weather Gods are nasty that way.
But have a nice trip and do think about visiting SF.
I'd love to have you stay.
